Thailand
In 2016 My friend and I went to Thailand for 2 months. For one month we travelled across Thailand, starting in the bustling capital Bangkok to Petchaburi to a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre. After this, we visited the beautiful island, Koh Tao, then cutting across the country to Krabi, Phuket and the Phi Phi islands. I then spent one-month volunteering with semi-wild elephants who have been rescued from camps and the logging industry. Now volunteers and staff can hike out into the forest with the elephants’ mahouts and research the elephants as well as give them regular health checks.
