Ecuador

2015

In 2015 I went on a volunteering holiday to Ecuador. This was my first solo trip, and it was incredible. It was in Ecuador that I first experienced the jungle and, my god it’s amazing! It’s like a sensory overload but somehow super calming at the same time. There’s just so much to see and hear, and the smells are so fresh and beautiful! After exploring and learning about the jungle for a bit with a guide, we spent a week volunteering in a small jungle community, teaching English and helping the locals build sanitary tanks and toilets. Then we went travelling the rest of the country, from mountains to cities to beaches. Everywhere we went was so different, it’s an amazingly diverse country, I loved it. I hope my pictures do it justice!
